Whiskey Jack's mobile home is a location in American Gods where Whiskey Jack resides. Looking like a seemingly ordinary old trailer home at first, it can actually travel alongside the hill it stands on throughout the United-States according to Whiskey Jack's desire.

Description[]

Whiskey Jack's mobile home and its connected hill first appear in Chapter Twelve in South Dakota (that Whiskey Jack refers as "Lakota Land"), somewhere near Sioux Falls, above the small settlement Harry Bluejay lives in. The hill is described as gentle and covered in snow. The mobile home looks like it has been dropped on the hill "thirty years ago", and has since then been much "repaired, patched and in places added onto". The air inside the home is said to be filled with wood smoke. It is equipped with a table and a wood-burning stove. There is no refrigerator - whenever Whiskey Jacks needs to keep leftovers or drinks fresh, he buries them in the snowdrifts outside.

When Shadow returns to the mobile home in Chapter Eighteen, its hill is now located somewhere "up north" far away from the "white men" (probably in Canada wilderness), near the top of a waterfall "swollen with melting snow". There is still snow outside (though not as much as before, melting under the sunlit places to reveal a wet and muddy earth), alongside rocks big enough to sit on and pale green ferns. There is a plastic cooler near the door, filled with river ice, in which Whiskey Jack stores his beers.
