Does anyone know if sean harris ever got to film his scenes as mad sweeney before he left the show or did he never get to do that cause I would like to see his scenes one day if its ever leaked out.
Why is that
Btw without going into great detail(unless you want to), do you have an idea what happens in the rest of the american gods books, cause I dont ever see myself reading them but I take it you have so im curious what the overall endgame was.
All I know from word of mouth is mr world is loki in disguise.
Oh thanks
Yeah it looks like maybe he had come from another era he looks like a stereotypical leprechaun as opposed to mad who wore jeans and a tanktop
Thanks

Alright thanks
Ive never read the AG book Ive mentioned that already, I plan to one day.
Thanks for that though im just awaiting to see who plays them
Btw can i ask you a question, without spoiling their end fate, personality, etc who is the big bad or villians of anansi boys? If there is such an announcement hasnt been made yet.
On a forum last year
I see thanks
Yes at least 20 people attacked me for giving my harmless opinion, i didnt insult anyone to provoke that.
I had seen a few episodes, I have not seen the entirety of it, the biggest thing I took from it is wednesday died.
I would love to know from someone how tv budgets work in starting projects how certain shows get more money to work with than others, I guess it goes into networks faith in the show or not.
Btw if neil gaiman wasnt involved much in the show then how come orlando jones got into a twitter fight with him, I do recall that.
Not exactly, in season 3 people attacked me cause I gave criticism of that season so it wasnt just season 1.
I dont understand why a professional channel like starz cant have the superiors of fuller and green say pick a coherent style/story and stick with it, we cant have it all over the place, that is common sense
No never, that is not it, for all I know the novel is way way better than the show. I plan on reading it one day.
I said that cause as I told you I was under the impression of two things, he had a more prominent role and was giving out horrible story advice and the show was faithful to the novel but you clarified those things for me. You did tell me that thing about neil like last year or the year before that and I simply forgot but I was taken back by hearing the show isnt close to the book. I was under the impression the reason it was so highly acclaimed by online fans was cause of its respect to source material but if it wasnt much then idk what people were praising cause again this was one of the worst supernatural based shows ive seen in my life, at least in the top 5.
You're welcome
I had forgotten that yeah.
But Im not judging the novel, when did I say the novel was horrible?
I had forgotten that
And its funny timing we even got into this discussion at this time cause I found this today-
It sucks more actors cant come out more and speak what happened BTS like orlando cause Ive never seen such a messy hodge podge before, there was like 2 or 3 versions of media(not on purpose), the chick who was easter quit, marilyn mansons character had to be cut out midway through, mr nancy and jinn were forced out, I am probably missing some stuff. Its like they had no real plan, people would compare it to the recent star wars movies but even those felt they had more of a plan than AG.
Well then the showrunner was lying when he said mr nancy and I think jinn had to be written off cause they werent in the book part they were covering, I remember that.
Neil came out lately saying starz was lying and that season 3 was not the last season so there is conflicting reports
Ive never read the Ag novel, not yet I have just seen the show.
It just sounds AB will be such a more interesting ride, AG was one of the worst things I ever saw im sorry.
Was ag show not closely following the book? I guess not
Did he not play some part of the show though as like co writer or something? Also I was comparing the books to one another and I was under the impression the tv show closely followed the book.
I would like to know if neil gave up his creative power to the showrunners or if they screwed him over.
It is still weird though they couldnt ask orlando jones to reprise as let us make it up to you kind of casting, not that Im against the new actor, they are going for a british vibe and im all for that.
The book version sounds more appealing to me.
Anansi boys just sounds overall more interesting
I never claimed to read the book, I plan to one day but not right now.
Thanks for answering me though
Without giving me spoilers can anyone inform me what story is better in terms of plot/character coherency(aka little to no plot holes), answers questions and dont leave fans in dark, dont include filler and overall just an engaging interesting story from beginning, middle and end. Cause I watched 2 seasons of american gods and I was bored out of my mind, I felt the story had extremely slow pacing, not interesting enough mysteries and characters, confusing lore, lots of filler I eventually tuned out and saw a few clips of season 3 and it didnt seem things got any better. I dont want to be burned that way again so giving neil gaiman the benefit of doubt that anansi boys is accurate to the novel and in terms of giving him and mr nancy a 2nd chance I need to know is anansi boys overall better written than american gods?
Ok thanks
I didnt see a comparrison, im saying i can see starz thinking that and i read the show was supposed to air on hbo first so they probably wanted to make it the next franchise based on a fantasy novel cause right now im hearing that channel is looking for the next got
Mystery-yeah that is what i dont get, that reboot of him meant nothing
Mask-well whomever writes the show then back to whatever i was talking about, sorry but its a long discussion so i dont feel like going back to whatever that i meant
Apart from like dr who and a few british shows, i dont think ive ever seen a show where so many actors leave but not based on their characters dying but just leave on their own accord, i really want more than just orlando jones to speak out, he is clearly not afraid to be black listed so the others shouldnt either
It be interesting if there was a global computer virus, all television and internet taken out and the world was suffering from an actual virus worse than what we're dealing with along with maybe an earthquake or something, im sure that would hurt the new gods
And of course you'll have plots and characters dropped but because much of hollywood are cowards they dont bother to tell the audience why other than creative differences aka damage control for something more serious. Like I'd like for the producers without giving full out spoilers to say why they do have so many gods and why the pacing is so slow, like sell this show, give people a reason to start watching or for people who stopped watching to start again cause this show has been off for a while and i really think they wanted this show to be the next game of thrones but it aint, it just aint, i think its last season gets more attention and love cause i feel people thought it had potential squandered but ag is as quiet as a mouse, i literally hear no major sites, barely any people talk about this and its a shame-ricky whittle, ian mcshane, peter stormare, emily browning, orlando jones, demore barnes, crispin glover and formerly gillian anderson....what went wrong
Ill probably find myself just watching the season finales which even then i dont have alot of faith in cause both finales so far were terrible so maybe you'll get your wish and i read the book, do you know if it has an audiobook that isnt on audible?, i have a hard time reading books based off my eyes alone
Mystery-
They are world building by introducing more and more old gods, that is all im taking from it
And how exactly is quantum boy different from tech boy?
